Genuine Antique Hand-Colored Chart

This hand-colored antique time table was published before standard time and shows the time in various cities compared to 12:00 time in Washington DC. This item comes from Mitchell's 1868 New General Atlas. In this case, "airline" is equivalent to "as the bird flies" because the only air travel at this time was hot air balloon, which wasn't actually used for distance travel. It is in good antique condition with overall toning and foxing as well as some light staining. The printed area measures approximately 13.5 x 11 inches.
