This is the 1883 (fifth) edition of an 1871 atlas timeline of world history, beginning in 4004 BC, up to 1885, include stunning chromolithographs of biblical history and history of the great empires which are synchronized with each other. Paper Mounted on linen, begins with 9 empire maps and end sheet includes a a chronological table of events of U.S. history, eminent men not included on the charts, world sovereigns and pictures of all of the presidents. The only woman shown (out of hundreds of names) is Queen Victoria. Very good condition, minor separations at some linen folds, scattered wear but stunning overall color, outer boards are worn and intact and leather binding is missing, the chart - book is held together with fabric. The entire book - chart expands to 271" inches! Overall dimensions are about 271" x 27.5" or 22 1/2 x 2 1/4 feet.
