Antique map of Islands off the coast of Africa from the Atlas Encyclopedique by Bonne and Desmarest, 1788. A plan of Funchal, the capital of the Atlantic island of Madeira, together with a small map of the island of Goree, and the islands of Madeira and Porto Santo. Shows cities, some towns, some topography. Very good antique condition with minor signs of age such as small spots, slight image transfer, and overall toning that is darker at the paper edges. Measures approx. 13.5 x 9.25 inches to the neatline.
