Genuine Antique Printed Color Map / Game Board

1955

Maker: Milton Bradley.

Antique printed color pictorial map of the United States showing the flight system of American Airlines, 1955. The red lines are American Airlines flights, and the map also includes other flights. This was published as a board game in conjunction with Milton Bradley and Cheerios. Five different options for gameplay are explained, all of which require spinners and planes that were on Cheerios boxes. The border features the names of cities and notable buildings and views from those cities. On the back of the sheet is an alternate game board, as well as information about "How America's Leading Airline Operates" including plane parts and the use of radio. Published as a folding map, this item retains its folds. Fair to good condition with some wear and tears at the fold lines, some seam separation. Approx. 16.5 x 14.75 inches to the border.
