Antique black and white celestial map showing a the movement of the Earth around the sun throughout one year, with inset diagrams showing the "theory of the Earth's motion in its orbit" and the "theory of twilight." Includes text around the map explaining each figure (Recto.) On verso: Antique printed color diagram showing the earth's movements during day and night, and during the seasons; as well as the moon's attraction during tides. Published in "The Pacific Coast and the World" by the Home Library and Supply Association, 1892. Very good overall antique condition with some mild toning/foxing- mainly at the outer edges. Recto Map (Annual Revolution of the Earth Round the Sun) measures approximately 9" x 12" (H x W) to the neatline. Verso (Printed Color Diagram) measures approx. 9.5" x 12.5" to the neatline.
