Antique page of maps from the Atlas of Long Island, New York, by Beers, Comstock & Cline, 1873. Centerfold map is Astoria, Part of Long Island City (Queens), with Hell Gate, Halletts Cove. Back sides are Woodside, Maspeth, and East Williamsburg on one side and Newtown on the other side. Newtown was once its own town but became Elmhurst in the 1890s when it became part of the City of Greater New York. These are all parts of modern Queens. These maps show businesses, churches, roads, railroads, parks, property owners. Original hand-coloring. Good to very good antique condition, some toning. Measures approx. 14 x 22 inches (centerfold, to the neatline) and 10.75 x 14 inches on verso maps.
