Antique printed color page of diagrams showing the theory of the seasons, eclipses, theory of tides, phases of the moon, twilight and dawn, summer and winter rays, rotundity of the Earth and refraction of the atmosphere, and a mariner's compass. Includes passages at the side of the diagrams, discussing the temperature of the moon, mountains on the moon, comets, etc. Published in the Columbia Atlas, 1893. Fair to Good overall antique condition with mild toning throughout, as well as noticeable water stains, tears, and minor paper loss at the outer edges of the paper. Diagram section measures approximately 8.75" x 7.25" (H x W) to the neatline. Page measures approx. 12" x 9.75" to the neatline.
