Genuine Antique Printed Color Map

1898

Maker: Gannett.

Antique printed color page of two statistical maps of the United States, based on census data. The first map shows the average size of farms in the U.S. in 1890. The second map shows the proportion of "improved land" to total area in America in 1890. Both maps show half of Oklahoma as being "Indian Territory". Very good condition with some toning of the antique paper, as well as a few tears at the outer edges of the page. By Henry Gannett, in The Statistical Atlas of the United States- Eleventh Census, 1898. Measures approximately 17.75" x 13" to include both maps and their titles. (Note: These two maps can be separated, if desired. Please contact us if this is of interest.)
