Maker: Hopkins
Antique hand-colored map from the Atlas of the County of Suffolk, Massachusetts. Vol. 3rd including South Boston and Dorchester published by G.M. Hopkins & Co. in 1874. This map shows part of Dorchester as it was in 1874 with property owners' names and businesses labeled. Densely populated areas do not show property owners' names because they are enlarged separately. Includes Uphams Corner, Jones Hill, Mt Bowdoin, Savin Hill, Meeting House Hill, Glovers Corner, Harrison Square, Four Corners and more. Original hand-coloring. Very good condition with mild toning that is darker at the paper edges, some tiny spots, small separation at bottom along fold. Measures approx. 15 x 24 inches to the neatline.
