Black and white antique illustration of the fire of Boston from Harper's Weekly November 30, 1872. The Great Boston Fire of 1872 stands as the largest fire in the history of BostonMassachusetts. The conflagration began at 7:20 p.m. on November 9, 1872, in the basement of a commercial warehouse at 83–87 Summer Street. The fire was finally contained around midday on November 10, after it had consumed about 65 acres of Boston's downtown, 776 buildings, and much of the financial district. Very good overall antique condition, 9.5 x 13.5 inches.

Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire effect- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the engraved print- these are not in the print and we can try to take more photos if you are concerned.
