High-quality reproduction map of an unusual bird's eye view of Buzzards Bay. This gorgeous map shows Nonquitt and New Bedford to Woods Hole and part of Naushon Island, with Falmouth Cataumet, Pocasset, Monument Beach, Bourne, Onset, Wareham, Marion, Mattapoisett, and more. In the distance is Boston, Minots Light, Easton, Whitman, Scituate, Duxbury, and other towns. Railroads and ferry routes are indicated. This was done before the canal was dug, although plans were clearly being considered as a dash line indicates a potential future canal. Approximately 23.75" x 30.25", originally produced by Walker, undated but probably around the year 1907. Measured to the edges of the printed area. High-quality giclee print. Paper may be larger but can be trimmed as needed.
