Antique black and white page showing five scenes from the first Winter Carnival in Ottawa in January, 1895, as depicted by artist William Huro Lawrence. The scenes are numbered and subtitled "Encampment of Mohawk Indians," "The Castle Toboggan Slide," "Live Arch on Mackenzie Street - Crowd awaiting the Arrival of the Snow-shoe Clubs," "Electrical Display on Sparks Street at Night," and, "The Ice Castle, Nepean Point." Published in Harper's Weekly Magazine, 1895. Very good antique condition with mild toning and wrinkling of the paper, a fold at the center, a small stain in the right margin outside the image, and a small tear at the right center edge of the paper which has been repaired using archival materials. Page measures approximately 16.25" x 10.75" overall.
