Antique hand-colored coast chart from 1853. Includes Smith's Island, Cape Fear River ports up to Wilmington and Eagle Island, all inlets and beaches from New River Inlet to Little River Inlet, North Carolina. This was a folded map that was published in the Annual Report of the US Coast Survey.  Good to very good condition with some toning, some tiny spots, tight margin at left, and some repaired separations along folds. Approx. 10.5 x 12 inches.
