1786
Maker: Joseph de Laporte.
Antique uncolored map of the Northeastern US by Delaporte, 1786. Includes Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, although you may notice that some of the borders are not as we know them now (New Jersey seems to stretch all the way to Canada). Cape Cod and Long Island have interesting shapes. Boston is marked too far south, Lake Champlain is not shown, and many other interesting inaccuracies will make this a fun map to own and use to quiz your friends. Very good antique condition with folds as issued. Approx. 7 x 9 inches. **SOLD**
