Antique copper plate map of the vicinity around Paris, France. This map appears to be by Tassin (Tavernier) 1634. This map shows rivers, forests, towns, and cities with a small city map of Paris. Beautiful decorative cartouche and compass rose. Good to very good antique condition, generally clean with a few minor spots and some areas of lighter imprint. Paper edges have some toning, stains, and folds that can be hidden under a mat when framing. Measures approx. 14.5 x 20 inches to the neatline.
