This is a portolan chart and has the characteristic rhumbline networks, which emanate out from compass roses located at various points on the map. Includes the West Indies, Virgin Islands, Windward Islands, Leeward Islands, Bahamas, Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and more. Every island seems to be labeled, as well as major ports. Highly decorative cartouche. Very good to excellent condition, this map may have been restored by a previous owner.
