Antique printed color map of the world on Mercator's projection, by Keith Johnston, in "The Handy Royal Atlas," 1880. Includes information regarding ocean currents, as well as routes and distances between principal trading ports. The Pacific Ocean is centered on this map and a few pieces of the coast of Antarctica are sketched out. Very good overall antique condition with some mild toning and some seam separation, which has been archivally repaired. Measures approximately 12.75" x 16.75" to the neatline.
