Engraved Antique hand colored map of Western Africa, in German, showing Western Africa at the beginning of the 19th century, showing the "Theil der Sahra" and including large uncharted areas in the center marked "Sudan Nigritien" and "Ober Guinea" along with the notation in the cartouche that the map is drawn from the latest observations by land and sea; includes an inset of the Cape Verde Islands ("Die Capoverdischen"). Very good overall antique condition, measures approximately 17.5 x 21.5 inches.
