c. 1775
Maker: Mrs. Mazaroz/Mondhare.
Fascinating antique chronological chart of history, "Invented and drawn by Mrs. Mazaroz" and published by Mondhare, c. 1775. The title translates to "Chronology Figured for the Understanding of the History of Monarchical Revolutions." The text at the bottom translates to "This recreational plan which at a glance offers the means of checking the dates of all the most interesting epochs of History, imparts the idea of the order of all the events which the Man of education cannot ignore and does this with more precision than reading so many Volumes that trouble the memory." This chart begins with the creation of Adam and ends with Louis the Sixteenth, just before the French and American Revolutions. At that time, as shown on the chart, King George III ruled Britain and Catherine the Great ruled Russia. Text is in French with dates along the left side. Very good condition with tight margins on top and left sides. Some folds/creases where it may have been folded into a book. Approx. 36 x 22 inches to the neatline. **SOLD**
