Antique hand colored map of part of the city of Boston from the 1915 atlas of Boston and Roxbury by Bromley. This map depicts part of ward 8, including Commonwealth Ave, Beacon St, St Marys St, and Audubon Rd. Interesting landmarks include the Charles River, the Boston and Albany Rail Road, a lot of buildings that are now owned by Boston University, churches, schools, hotels, businesses, the rail road and subway, and homes with property owners' names. The inset at the top right shows the western-most part of the ward that houses Boston University's Main Campus Buildings. Very good overall antique condition with light toning outside border. Approx. 23 x 33 inches
