Full title: Plate 2. Part of West Virginia / Sketch of fight at Rich Mountain, W.Va.., July 12th, 1861 / Camp Garnett / Rich Mt. Battle-Field, July 11, 1861 plus 3 views of Charleston, S.C. and vicinity.  Antique lithograph by Julius Bien & Co published in the Atlas to Accompany the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies published under the direction of the Hon. Redfield Proctor, Secretary of War, 1891. The atlas was published as a companion piece to the Official Records of the American Civil War. It contains maps and other images derived from materials generated by both Union and Confederate military personnel during the American Civil War. It was printed in 35 parts between 1891 and 1895. This page has a light wash of printed color on the three views, and printed color in the maps that indicates topography and Union or Confederate locations. Very good condition with a few minor spots/stains and a touch of foxing, and slight wear to the paper edges. Measures approx. 16 x 27 inches to the outer border lines.
