Antique black and white map of the Battle of Port Royal, which took place on November 7, 1861 in Port Royal, South Carolina. Published by Gurdon Bill in John S. C. Abbott's book, "The History of the Civil War in America," 1866. Notes where the U.S. Troops landed, the transports, line of attack, and position of the rebel fleet, as well as Ft. Seward (labeled as "Ft. Seward Late Beauregard") and Ft. Welles (labeled as "Ft. Welles Late Walker.") Very good antique condition with mild toning of the paper and a few spots of very minor foxing. Map measures approximately 6.5" x 4.25" to the neatline. Page measures approx. 9.5" x 5.75" overall.
