Antique black and white woodcut print showing views of Columbia College (present-day Columbia University) in New York City, published in the June 20, 1885 edition of Harper's Weekly Magazine. The three illustrations show students in uniform pouring substances into bottles (titled "School of Mines",) students milling about in the fashions of the 1880s in front of a classical architecture building (titled "A Bit of Old and New",) and a busy street scene of people and horse drawn carriages in front of the midtown campus located between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue from 49th to 50th, where the college was located from 1857 to 1897 (titled "The Madison Avenue Front".) Very good antique condition with toning throughout and a fold at the center. Page measures approximately 16" x 10.75" overall.
