Genuine Antique Map

Maker: Colton.

Antique uncolored map of the Adirondack region of New York, by Colton, compiled by W.W. Ely and published to accompany Murray's Adventures in the Adirondacks (Tourist's Edition). Includes Lake George and Lake Champlain. Counties shown include parts of Hamilton, Essex, Warren, Washington, Clinton, Franklin, Lawrence, and Herkimer. It includes the areas now called High Peaks Wilderness, West Canada Lake Wilderness, and Five Ponds Wilderness. This map was published as a folding map and had significant seam separations that have been archivally repaired. The map has been archivally restored- cleaned, deacidified, and backed with light-weight paper. A portion on the left side remains stained darker than the rest. Approx. 21.75 x 23.5 inches to the neatline. **SOLD**
