Antique hand-colored map of West Riding of Yorkshire, one of three historic subdivisions of Yorkshire, England, by Robert Morden, first published in 1695 and again in 1722. This map is undated and it is unclear in which edition of Camden's "Britannia: Or a Chorographical Description of Great Britain and Ireland Together with the Adjacent Islands..." this map was published. It shows towns, villages, country estates, roads, and more. Topographic information is depicted pictorially. Elegant hand coloring and a handsome cartouche. Very good condition with minor signs of age, such as toning that is darker at the paper edges. Center fold as issued. Measures approx. 14.25 x 16.25 inches to the neatline.
