Antique hand-colored map of Kent, a county in southeastern England that includes Canterbury, by John Cary, c. 1797. It shows towns, villages, country estates, roads, and more. Elegant hand coloring and a handsome cartouche. Framed with glass on both sides to allow the text on the verso to be seen. Very good condition with minor signs of age, such as toning. Mat does not appear to be archival and should be switched. Measures approx. 8.25 x 10.25 inches to the neatline.
