Antique blueback nautical chart of the Gulf of Mexico from the entrance to the Mississippi River to Aucilla River in Florida, published by Edmund M. Blunt. This chart is an 1820 edition of an 1815 chart, having been improved from "Actual Survey." This early chart shows an era when Florida included the coasts of Mississippi and Alabama. Includes Appalachicola Bay, Choctawhatchee Bay, St Andrew Bay, Pensacola Bay, Perdido Bay, and Mobile Bay. Two insets: A Plan of Mobile Bar, and Continuation of the Mississippi River and part of the Coast of Louisiana from Actual Survey. This chart is in fair to good antique condition, with toning, minor small spots and stains, and some edge wear including a hole at the upper left. Could be restored for an additional cost.
