Antique map of the USA and Mexico from an Italian version of Stieler's scholastic atlas, c. 1885. Some states and cities are abbreviated. An inset map of Great Britain compares the sizes of the land mass. At bottom is a table showing the heights of various mountains including Mount Hood, Mount Rainier, Pikes Peak, Black Dome, and Mount Katahdin, as well as the mountains in Mexico. This table also indicates the elevation of various cities. The coloring within the US indicates states versus territories. Very good antique condition with minor tiny spots. Measures approx. 8 x 10.25 inches to the neatline.
