Original pictorial map of Alaska by Edward Camy for the Alaska Steamship Company, 1940. This map was issued a few times in the late 1930s and early 1940s. It is filled with humorous and historical illustrations and interesting notes. At bottom, a comic strip shows the adventure of a happy steamship passenger. An inset map shows the area near Seward and McKinley National Park with the railroad line to Fairbanks and road to Valdez. Very good condition with some mild wrinkles in the paper, a bit of toning in the lower left corner, and some pin holes in the corners. Has a curl from being rolled, but is currently packaged flat. Measures approx. 21 x 28 inches to the neatline.
