Antique print showing the interior of the Pratt Gymnasium at Amherst College in Massachusetts, drawn by W.P. Snyder and published in Harper's Weekly on February 21, 1885. The image shows an exercise class during which a group of young men are using weights while following an instructor who is accompanied by a piano. The building appears to have a stage and a mezzanine and a set of parallel bars in the back. Very good condition with mild toning. Later coloring. Matted. Measures approx. 9 x 13.5 inches to the neatline and 16 x 20 inches including the mat.
