Antique map of Northwestern Africa, part of a 4 part set, published by Franz Anton Schraembl in 1787. This map was made by H. Benedicti after R. de Vaugondy's map of Africa. It shows from what is now Libya to Cameroon with Tunisia, Morocco, Mali, Nigeria, the Sahara Desert, the islands off the coast Madeiras, Cape Verde, and Canary Islands, and much more. Original hand-coloring. Very good antique condition with mild toning, some minor stains and tiny spots. Measures approx. 19 x 21.25 inches to the neatline.
