Antique map of North Eastern North America from Maryland to Baffin Bay, by Guillaume Del Isle, 1718. This fascinating French map of Eastern Canada with parts of the US- New England, New York, Pennsylvania, is filled with notations about the land and people, including the Native American Indians. On the right side of the map is Greenland and on the left side is a large lake, with a notation about the Great Salt Lake that the natives had told of. Impressively accurate Hudson Bay, and Great Lakes. Good restored condition with some signs of age remaining including some stains at upper center, some damage at paper edges that has been repaired, some creases in the paper. Measures approx. 19.5 x 25.5 inches to the neatline.
