Antique hand colored map of part of Italy. Original map was by Mercator, then Hondius bought Mercator's map plates in 1604 and added new plates of his own, later the plates were re-engraved in miniature and published in a pocket atlas. This map was published in 1636. Shows the north-eastern coast area and includes the cities of Udine, Aquileia, Trieste, Monfalcone, Oderzo, and more. Very good condition with overall toning. Approx. 3.75 x 5.25 inches to the neatline. **SOLD**
