Antique nautical sailing chart by George Eldridge of Buzzard's Bay, Massachusetts, showing the bay and its coastline from Horseneck Beach to Falmouth and including the Elizabeth Islands (Penikese, Cuttyhunk, Nashaweena, Pasque, Naushon, Uncatena and Nonamesset), with soundings, lighthouses, shoals, ledges, hazards, and key to tides and bottom conditions. This chart was published before the Cape Cod Canal, when there was a river in that location and there was much discussion of creating a canal but no forward progress. Backed with a light cloth and edges bound with a brown binding. Good antique condition with minor wear and soiling representative of use as an onboard chart, including a slight water stain at top and some wrinkling on right side.
