Antique uncolored map of part of the east coast of Africa by Bellin, 1757. The Kingdom of Mutapa â ‚¬ €œ sometimes referred to as the Mutapa Empire; Portuguese: Monomotapa â ‚¬ €œ was a Kalanga kingdom in what are the modern states of Zimbabwe, South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique and parts of Namibia and Botswana; stretching well into modern Zambia. This map shows only a portion of that area- showing the size of the empire in 1757. Very good condition with some minor foxing and image transfer. Approx. 8 x 10.25 inches to the neatline.
