This antique hand colored map entitled, Ethnographic Map of the World Showing the Present Distribution of the Leading Races of Man, Designed to Accompany Cartee's Physical and Political Geography, was published in 1856 by Hickling, Swan, and Brown. Engraved by G.W. Boynton, it was originally published in A School Atlas of Physical Geography, Illustrating, in a Series of Maps Compiled from the Celebrated Atlases of A. Keith Johnston, and of Milner and Petermann, The Elementary Facts of Geology, Hydrology, Meteorology, and Natural History by Cornelius S. Cartee, A. M. Measuring 11 x 13.5 inches, this piece is in very good antique condition with minor toning and foxing.
