Charming pictorial map of the United Kingdom by Cecil Meyer, designed at the Studio of C&E Layton Ltd. This map is undated but several institutions have indicated it was published in 1951. It features illustrations throughout, mostly architecture and a few figures, and quotes from each area of the UK. The decorative border is filled with the coats of arms of many cities. Vibrant original printed color. Measures approx. 24 x 18 inches to the paper edges. Fair to good condition with folds as issued, and some wear and tears along the folds.
