This charming page features text relating to the statistics of the Department, including rivers, mountains, industries, notable residents, and "remarks & curiosities" as well as a small map of the region surrounded by illustrations of the local products and one notable/historical personage (Francoise 1r (Francis I) in Charente and ? in Charente-Maritime). Very good antique condition with some minor stains in the margins. Paper is lightweight and the image/text on verso is slightly visible but this can be reduced by backing with a black backing when framing. Measures approx. 13.5 x 9.5 inches to the neatline.
