Antique map of the department of Eure in the region of Normandy, France. Hand-coloring within the map itself is original to the piece, the hand-coloring of the illustrated scenes surrounding the map is modern/recent. From the Atlas National Illustre des 86 Departments et des Possessions de la France, Divise par Arrondissements, Cantons et Communea, by Levasseur, 1851. Map is surrounded by exquisitely detailed engraved illustrations and vignettes, as well as statistical and general information in French. With centerfold, as issued. Very good antique condition with mild toning of the paper, and some areas of very minor foxing/soiling. Measures approximately 11.5" x 16.5" to the border.
