Antique hand colored set of 2 maps of Europe, by Sayer for Thomas Kitchin's atlas of 1787. The northern map shows Iceland, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the northern half of Germany, Norway, Sweden, Poland, and Russia, aa well as other northern countries. The southern map shows the entire Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea, and includes from the northern coast of Africa up to Northern France and Southern Russia. Includes Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, part of Germany, Hungary, Greece, Turkey, Syria, Armenia, and more. Sides have text that is statistical information in English. Good condition with some surface soiling, seam separations about an inch into the border on all seams, edge wear including tears, soiling, and folding, and some additional folds near the regular folds. Each of these maps is actually two sheets that have been joined. Each map is approx. 20.25 x 41 inches to the neatline. Approx. 21 x 50 inches to the paper edges (each map). These could be joined to create one large map or framed and displayed individually. **SOLD**
