Genuine Antique Printed Color Map

1894

Maker: Cram.

Antique printed color page of eight small maps of the United States, which are divided into two sections. The top four maps illustrate the War of 1812. The top two maps in this section show areas around the Great Lakes and specifically Niagara Falls. The bottom two maps of this section show the Perdido River (the Western boundary of Florida), and Chesapeake Bay. The bottom four maps are meant to illustrate the "Indian Wars" that took place. One map shows the wars that took place between whites and Native Americans from 1790-1811. The next maps show specific wars: Creek War (1813), Black Hawk War (1832), and the Seminole War (1835-1842). By Cram, 1894, original atlas unknown. Measures approximately 8.5" x 5.75" to the neatline.
