Maker: Pinkerton / Cadell & Davies.
Antique hand colored map of France by Cadell & Davies, 1809. Published in Pinkerton's Modern Atlas. This map shows France divided by departments, which were adopted in 1791 to replace the previous system of provinces. This map was created when Napoleon was still near the height of his power, and therefore shows France when it included parts of its eastern neighbors. Shows cities, roads, bodies of water, topographic information, and more. Very good condition with a few tiny spots. Approx. 19.5 x 27 inches to the neatline.
