Antique printed color folding road map of Long Island, published by C.S. Hammond and Co. in 1906. With roads in red and railroads in black. Roads are distinguished by type: Good roads, Fair roads, Ordinary roads, Bicycle Sidepath along Road, Bicycle Sidepath on open Road. This map is double-sided, with the western half of Long Island on one side of the map and the eastern half on the other. Blue and black lines distinguish the different towns. Includes Manhattan, New York City, Brooklyn, East Hampton, Southampton, Oyster Bay, Glen Cove, Shelter Island, Greenport, with an inset of the tip of Long Island with Montauk. Includes original cover (attached). With folds as issued. Very good condition with a few tiny spots and some slight seam separation at a few of the fold intersections.
