Antique printed colour map of Ireland, with verso map of the North Pole and polar regions and a verso print of national flags, from the Peopleâ ‚¬ „¢s Illustrated and Descriptive Family Atlas of the World, 1888. Ireland mp is colored by county and shows towns, railroads, some topography, and some shipping distances from major ports. Polar map includes all of Canada, Greenland, parts of Northern Europe, Siberia, and parts of the US. The flags are interesting because of the many changes that have occurred since this print was made (for example, the flags for the German Empire and Emperor of Austria are related to those countries current flags). Overall very good condition with some toning at paper edges. Ireland has some slight colour bleed from the flags printed on the verso of the southern half. Ireland map measures approx. 16 x 10.5 inches to the neatline. Polar map measures approx. 12 x 9.5 inches to the neatline. Flags measure approx. 12.25 x 10 inches to border. **SOLD**
