Antique hand colored map of Australia from 1864, by Johnson & Ward. Includes state information, with a large state called North Australia that was later divided to create the North Territory and Queensland. Decorative border. Good condition with minor image transfer, overall toning, some small tears in edges, two light stains under title, and some coloring mistakes made by the colorists (who were often children, women, the infirm, and other types of marginalized people). Approx. 13"h x 15 1/2"w to outer border edges.
