Genuine Antique Printed Color Map
1876 circa
Maker: U.S. Light-House Service
Eleventh Light House District. Antique printed color chart of lighthouses along the coasts of some of the Great Lakes - Lake Superior, Lake Huron, and Lake Michigan. Published in the Annual Report of the Light-House Board of the United States to the Secretary of the Treasury. This chart does not have any year printed on it, which we believe means it is the first edition of the map (later editions always have the "corrected to" date printed near the title). Shows all light houses, light ships, and fog bells. With fold, as issued. Very good overall antique condition with mild toning throughout, some wear/creasing at the center fold. Measures approximately 8" x 10.25" (H x W) to the neatline.
