1872

Maker: Picturesque America.

Hand colored woodcut engraving of Lower Saranac Lake, New York, from William Cullen Bryant's classic 1872 work, "Picturesque America." The page is titled "The Adirondack Region," and the reverse side has a black and white engraving titled "Round Lake, from Bartlett's." Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire pattern- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the print- these are not in the print and we can try to take more photos if you are concerned.
