Antique black and white engraved illustration from the supplement to the June 23, 1883 edition of Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper, showing a close-up view of a couple fly fishing on the Magalloway River in Maine (written as "Megalloway" in the caption.) One person has a fishing rod and the other has a net, and they both have very calm expressions. There is a woven creel fishing basket next to them on the rocks in the foreground, and the forest and mountains in the background. On verso is a page of unrelated text. Very good antique condition with mild toning of the paper, some minor edge wear/creasing, one small tear at the bottom of the page, and a fold near the center of the page. Image measures approximately 14.25" x 9.25". Page measures approx. 16.5" x 11.25" overall.
