Genuine Antique Printed Color Railroad Map

Antique printed color map of Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, and the surrounding area published c. 1910 by The Matthews-Northrup Works and the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad. This map was published in a travel booklet that depicts Nantucket as an ideal vacation destination and the map is still attached to the booklet as the center fold page. The booklet includes printed photographs, illustrations, and visitor information. The map includes steamboat and railroad routes and shows the area from New Bedford to Monomoy encompassing the Elizabeth Islands, and parts of Cape Cod from Woods Hole to Osterville. Very good antique condition with staples at the center fold (as issued) and three vertical folds (as issued). The text on the back side of the map is slightly visible through the paper. The tourist booklet is by R.K. Munkittrick and when closed it measures 8.5 x 8 inches. The total dimensions for the map are 8.5 x 16 inches to the paper edges. **SOLD**
