Black and white antique map published in the Documentary History of the State of New York, by Richard H. Pease, 1849. This map was made in 1849, copied from an earlier map from 1790 by Simeon De Witt. This detailed land grant map shows of the area south of the Mohawk River, west of the Tiananderha River, and around the Head Waters of the Susquehanna River and Delaware Rivers. This is approximately the area between modern day Utica and Amsterdam along the Mohawk River, and south almost to the NY state border, including Otsego Lake, Cooperstown, Oneonta, Cobleskill, Schoharie, and many other Includes details of landowners plots and names, with dates of patents. With folds as issued. Very good condition, some slight discoloration, 19.75 x 21.75 inches.
